Welcome Sunshine! Nice to hear from you. This is a great team! I have 2 poodles. A 3 year old named Ava and a 1 and half old named Breea. I have a few photos of them on my page. Looking forward to hearing more from you and your poodles. Laurie
Sunshine49 and your poodles. Feel free too to let them share on their own thread. I've had several miniature poodles, and one toy. My current dog's a doodle (appropriate for Independence Day weekend, no?), probably a miniature poodle, shih tzu mix (i got to watch my spelling, or the propriety police will nab me). My uncle used to have a standard, who lived to a ripe old age, and I've met several (and several golden doodles) in the neighborhood. People often talk about poodles as pretty or intelligent--I try never to forget their sense of humor!
I have a almost 14 year old mini poodle (his birthday is July 6th). He is born in Germany, lived there for 8 years and moved then with me to the US. He still only listen to German commands, he just ignores the English ones. He has a heart failure since birth. Lately he has a cough that comes from his congestive heart failure. Otherwise he still runs like a puppy.
Welcome Sunshine! I have a standard poodle (Gibson) he is a mobility service dog. He is going to be 10 yrs old and getting ready to retire, so of course to replace him I HAD to get another standard poodle. She was born May 19th 2009. Her name is Twilite. She will be joining us at the end of September and will be trained as a service dog.

to the club, SUNSHINE, Yes, I agree, poodles are beautiful, intelligent, loving beings. I don't know what I would do without my beautiful 10 pound, 15 y/o companion. Please, won't you & your babies come join us on the thread What Does Your Poodle Have to Share? With 3intelligent poodles in one family, I'm sure that they have lots & lots of poodle adventures to share.

I just thought I would say Hello. I am new to the club . I have two Standard Poodles and one geriatric miniature. Poodles are great. My daughter and I are groomers and working on a poodle makes my day . They are so smart and beautiful.
