Hi and to the Outdoor People team! This is a great team... Very supportive, fun loving (and a bit "wacky" at times, LOL) you'll find most of us "hanging out" on the Happy Hour on the Deck thread (that's where we tend to let our imaginations go wild and just have fun!)... We also just started a weight loss challenge last week where we weigh in each Friday and try to lose weight (or at least stay the same with no gain) each week ... It's called the "Last Man Standing" (aka "move it to the right", meaning our weight tickers)... Fun way to encourage and motivate each other to work towards our goals....
Love that you're into art, painting, etc.... I used to do some painting myself years ago but haven't recently... Keep wanting to get back into doing that ...
Anyway, welcome to the team... Don't be shy about joining in the fun and chit chat, we were all new here once and now it feels like we've known each other forever! So again, welcome aboard!

Just keep swimming!
Never give up!
Hi nature lovers! I love the woods, hiking, and places like the Smokie Mts or Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland. Although I have never been very athletic, and I am getting older :( I still love walking the trail in our woods behind our house. We camped a lot when the boiys were young, and I have white watered the New river in WVA a few times. Do any of these things qualify me as an "outdoor people"??? I am an artist too, and paint (oils, acrylic) on site, plein air, in nature, which is so much fun (and hard work). But, anyway, trying to get motivated to get in shape, so...hope this site will help!!
