Hi, I have just joined the team. I'm into hiking, surfing, rock climbing, and kayaking. However, its winter....I can still hike, but rock climbing is not as much fun, I am learning to boulder, much less standing around in the cold. And surfing...I admit I am a fair weather surfer. I don't like brain freeze!

We live in Hailey, Idaho (right near Sun Valley) and I love to hike, bike, walk, canoe, swim and roller blade. I also try and jump rope and do push ups too. This summer has been great here for hiking and biking until recently when several fires started in the area so now the air quality is poor. It is hot here too but we have been hiking in the evening which is a new thing for us but has been wonderful. Strangely, I live in a ski area but do not ski (my son does) but I do enjoy ice skating when I can (I'm not the best but it is fun). I am also thinking of joining the YMCA this winter so I can swim and work out to stay active. I am also interested in jogging but this has been problematic in the past -- I think I need to change something so I don't get cramps. Anyway -- interested in staying active and hope to get encouragement from this group!
Welcome to the team! When I read your post I thought I was reading about myself about a year or so ago. I do alot of snowshoeing in the northeast. And I simply enjoy biking 12 months out of the year. This Spring I ventured into mountain biking and find it exhilarating. I also took to the water in a kayak this year and simply love it. I know you will, too! Yes, these were some of the things on my bucket list. I need to add more to it as I crossed things off! LOL!

I am a fairly active person who loves outdoor activities so when I found this team, it seemed like a good fit! My favorite outdoor interest is hiking but I'm open to trying other things - kayaking is on my list of something to try out pretty soon, for instance, and I'm trying to get my son to go bike riding with me to help me learn some of the technical details beyond balance and pedaling, haha! This winter I would like to give snowshoeing another try and want to go backpacking again next year, too - I'm nursing an injury at the moment so that will have to wait - but I used to go fairly often and want to get back out there again!
Looking forward to getting to know others on this team!
