Hi Team, I'm Laney and I post a LOT. I am tall, 5'9" and wouild like to get back to 150 from current weight 179. I also would like to be able to do 23 pushups in a row, lol, my old record and pull ups again. I love the feeling of being strong! I want that back as well as a flat stomach.

Hi!

My name is Kayte. I am 32 and I have 49 lbs to lose. I've already lost 7 lb in the two weeks I've been on Weight Watchers and I love it!

My goal is to lose the weight and also build strength so I can attempt another pregnancy; my first pregnancy ended in a loss at 22 weeks.

I love to cook so WW works for me and my style of cooking. I also love to sew my clothes, scrapbook, and travel. I've looking to make friends that I can encourage and who will also encourage me.

Hello, my name is Jennifer. I'm also doing the program at home. I have the program materials for the points plus program since I've joined many times in the past. This time I want to make sure that I'm actually willing to put in the time and get into a routine of tracking my food and figuring the values. IF I stick with it and it's helping me to lose weight I'll probably re-join and do the program online once I have the extra money again.

I am going to start this weight loss thing again tomorrow. I am so tired of being so motivated at the begining then losing interest. Even though I feel better losing the weight I give up and go back to my old ways. Hopegully this time I will stick with it. I lost almost 40 pounds and taking charge again after gaining 18 back I refuse to gain it all back. So here we go again!

Hi all! I have been a member of Sparkpeople since 09 had a lot of success and failures over that time.
We had health screenings at work and they started WW@work last week. I really haven't started yet, because I have not been to the store to "redo".

I get paid every other week so I grocery shop and meal plan 2 weeks at a time. I usually cook supper every night for my family (me, husband and daughter) non of which are over weight but me, however we all need to eat healthier.
I work from 7:30-6 M-F so breakfast/lunch are at my desk.

Any suggestions for work or healthy satisfying suppers? My husband is a meat + 3 guy - but based on my assessment we eat too many starchy foods!

ANY help/guidance would be greatly appreciated!! emoticon

I am Dani, ww worked for me too several years ago.. made lifetime but unfortunately gained back again, so doing the points again, and get so much encouragement / help from sparkpeople. Hi, My name is Lynne and I have been doing WW on and off for about 5 years. Started with the original points program and am now doing Points Plus which is much easier because of the "free" fruit. I love fruit so being able to fill up on fruit when all my points are used up for the day is great. I am also doing the program from home which is tough because I have the support of my husband but he is skinny and doesn't need to be on the program. However he will eat the dinners I make that are low points. Also luckily we have a pantry for him to keep his fattening snacks so they are out of site out of mind.

Thanks for the message. So far had bacon medallion with egg, baked beans and wholemeal bread, all free on the plan

Made lentil soup for lunch and going to make a cottage pie with extra veg for dinner, skimmed milk for tea so good day planned

Hi, I'm Gwynn and I'm about to start WW!! I read one of their books (Coach Approach) from the library and also bought their cookbook from the library's book store. It's copyrighted in 2006 and coincides with the old points program which I have heard good things about. I tried a couple of the recipes and they turned out pretty good.

I'm married, in my mid-40's, and know without a doubt that my metabolism slowed down when I hit 40 and it seems like it just becomes slower and slower with each passing year. I do Pilates a few times a week at home but I know that a "few" won't cut it. I need to be determined and increase those workouts.

I'd love some SP buddies to go on this journey with me! I like sending mail and would love a motivational and supportive friend as I would be to them!

I'm Amy and I am back again after a year of trying all kinds of things that didn't work. I joined WW last spring and lost about 5 pounds and got discouraged by July and quit. I need to finally do this right as my BP is high and I am starting to feel lousy as a result. My 50th birthday is Thursday and I want to feel and look better than I do now. I think I am now finally willing to make the changes I know I need to. I know this is where I belong.

I plan on going to a meeting this morning and then off to the gym.

Dear ADLINS, Did you join WW meeting, or did you join online? If you did either, you would get a WW food tracker or if you have online e-tools, you can track online. You can earn activity points that you can use also. You get 49 weekly points that you can use if you want during the week for those extra occasions that you might go to, such as eating out, birthdays, etc.

I have tracked with my WW trackers and SP Food Tracker both at the same time. Actually the calories and points on SP, come out almost the same for my 5'4'' frame, as the points on WW. You can track your activity on SP fitness and it conicides with your nutrition tracker and adjusts your calories for the activity.

Hi. I'm new to WW and the points. I got the very lowest number of points and blew through them healthily with very little food. Granted I knew it and today was my first day and I did start after I made meal choices.

However, I tracked here and on Fitbit and was within the calorie range. Not a little over, but within - though at the top end.

I've looked all over the WW site for where it determines your points and can only determine that it did based on my height and weight, not how much I exercise, etc. Is there somewhere where they explain how they do it or where you can set an activity level?

Any insight is appreciated.

I am re-introducing myself and retrying weight watchers. I have not been on this board for a while.I am a 57 year old high school teacher and I have a great DH, two super DS and two little grandaughters. I have just gone through two very stressful years helping older relatives and juggling too many hours of work with too many family issues. Now, I want to concentrate on me and turn around the gaining that seems to have gone along with the stress. New to this group but not to sp or ww. Restarted ww Saturday. Went off of it in September when we found out my husband has cancer. I started making cutbacks right away and paying for weight loss seemed like a good place to start. 1 surgery, a root canal, 3 wisdom teeth pulled, many many trips, and I'm up 5 pounds. I've kept to my deficit but the math just doesn't work for me. Ww does.
I'm 50. We have 6 kids, 9 grand kids, a dachshund, an outdoor cat and an indoor rabbit. Looking for an active group that helps and supports each other.

Just joined this team....lost 25lbs in 3 months on WW a few yrs ago and only gained back 5 of that. Been doing the SP tracking but, since Aug have only lost 5lbs. Counting calories, etc doesn't make my scale budge except for down 1lb, up 1lb, down 1lb, up 1lb. Very frustrating to say the least. In between the ups and downs, 5 lbs was lost somewhere in there. So, obviously I need to go back to what has worked for me in the past. Why it worked for me was because of the required points I needed to achieve per day for weightloss. My problem isn't over eating, mine is eating enough. That's why the point system worked for me. I had to force myself to eat to reach my points everyday. Okay, so, that's why I joined this team. :-)

Hi, my name is Kim. I have been on Spark for years!! Spark was actually recommended to me when I was doing WW online. Since then, I have lost the weight on my own and become a personal trainer and fitness instructor.

But the weight has come back with a vengeance! My workouts are not helping. My eating is all over the place. I have never done WW meetings before but I think I need that because I would not be honest with myself online. I need somebody to smack me in the face (LOL, I know leaders won't do that, but that's what I need). I found a meeting, signed up and paid today. I just happen to run across a story about Jessica Simpson of all people and that triggered something in me to try it. See, these celebrities actually do motivate others.

Hi! I'm Irena, I'm from Massachusetts and I am back on WW.
I've been on it before, and Angel you are right when we work it it works.
I am trying it online, without the meetings. I was never really comfortable at the meetings, I'm not sure if it was me or the leaders. I always felt super guilty when I did not have a good week.
I'm hoping that checking in on Spark will help keep me accountable. If it doesnt work, I'll try the meeting again.
I just turned 50 and am feeling like its now or never. I dont want to have surgury, so here I go again!
