I'm following PointsPlus right now but have been known to go back to the old momentum program when this isn't working for me. wait I should say when i'm not working it. the plan works if you work it properly. Something i'm slacking on lately. But day by day i'm getting it done.

I've been on many versions of the Points system. I agree that they all work if you follow them.

I, on the other hand, can't let myself ever eat between meals. We are all so different!
And I have diverted my obsession with food into planning, procuring and preparing it. Eating is just one part of my life of food, and not even the biggest part. The anticipation is as good as the eating, especially if I make it with my own two hands.

swim........I also find that, in the past, it did not work for me to eat 5 or 6 small meals a day........it always seemed like I was continually thinking about and eating food.....obsession almost.......but now, in my later years; eating many times per day, seems to work much better.....for whatever reason............ :)

To be honest, the only other Weight Watchers program I used was the old exchange system. I find that I can eat more foods with this Plus 2012 program because you are allowed fruits and vegetables for zero points. I sometimes eat my activity points but I do not usally use my extra weekly points. I try exercising daily. I also find for me inorder to use and stay full I eat between five to six mini meals. It is healthier for me for some reason. A lot of people cannot do this but it works for me.

Thank you Louise.......... Tell me, on average, do you feel that you can eat more food/stay fuller or eat less food than the old points/not as full..........thanks

I use the Weight Watchers Plus 2012 Program and that works for me. I agree if you are losing on what you are using, stick with it! I also agree if one stays with a program it will work, if one does not stay with a program it will not work.
on your weight loss!
GOD BLESS! Louise

Thank you Mom, Grandma, Nell, And Cindy.......... I appreciate your feedback and comments.................... I was just wondering if anyone has done the "core" plan and done great with it. It came out several years ago........I stuck with the original point system but was wondering how folks did on the old core plan.........thanks......

I still count the old exchanges. I know them like a second language and it's helped me stay at goal for decades now. I still have a ton of cookbooks that give exchanges. I actually lost my weight on the old Plan, which only had two cookbooks, and that Program was so weird it's funny now in retrospect. I found the exchanges in Maintenance, and pretty much the same plan was official WW for a long time.
WW can only support their current version of their program whatever that is. If we know the old programs and work them every day, they WILL work. People's expectations change and WW has to change along with them. Every program WW ever had was wonderful and effective for its time.
And for what it's worth, my decor is kind of stuck in the 80s and 90s, too. But that, also, works for me. Whatever works, and only we can be the judge.

All diets work IF you work. None work when you don't. Often the preference between points plus and points or any of the older plans is more what youre used to and less of which plan works best. As you said if its working for you, it ain't broke so don't fix it. Congrats and keep up the good work

Thank you both Sandra and Gabby.............I have lost 32 pounds since April 1st so I guess I will stick with it. I also used to do the wendie plan from time to time and lost on that..........you figure up your points X 7 days per week and varry your points from day to day. Have anyone ever tried wendie?

I've only used the new system, and it works for me. I like the "free" fruits & veggies, it really adds incentive to eat more of them and fill up on that instead of something else. Also, veggies are "free" carb choices for me in my diabetic diet, so that works well together (fruit aren't but I should limit that any way).
However.
If you have all the tools for the old system, and you're using that, and its working for you...then keep using it. The points system is a tool to help manage portion control and to help us focus on foods that are healthier for us. Its not magic.

Hello, I'm new here in this team. I use the old point system, always, to calculate my points. I never did use the extra 35 points per week and most the time I exercised and did not count it towards adding a point. I just had a healthy meal today; which said on the box......new point system........8 points..........but, my on my old points it is 6............I counted 6........I also count fruit..............I guess what I want to know is..........compared to the old points system........how do you rate the new points system..........especially if you've used both. Thanks
