Hi Kristy and WELCOME!! If i can be of any help to you, I own a small bakery in NY. Our laws are REALLY stringent, it cost me a fortune to get a building, get water set up, etc. If you can get licensed without all that it will be much easier!!
I'm here if you have questions or need support!!

Hi everyone,

My name is Kristy. I am 33 (about to be 34 in a couple of weeks). I have been married for 2 years now to an amazing man. I recently quit my job to become a stay at home wife and work on getting a couple of businesses started. We are working on starting a home baking business. My husband went to culinary school for about a year and has always wanted to open a food business. I loved watching cooking shows on tv and wanted to be a cook from the age of about 10. So, after Texas relaxed some laws about cooking and selling food from your home in Sept, we decided to give it a whirl. If the baking business takes off, we will consider renting a shop or getting a food truck. Our great goal will be to have our own small cafe.

Now that I at home, I plan on really kicking my butt into gear. I lost about 70 lbs several years ago and was quite fit. Now I have gained all that back & become lazy once again. I really not so much caring about the lbs, I just want to be healthier. Both my husband's family and my family have very strong threads of diabetes through out, so we want to delay that for as long as we can. We have also been trying to get pregnant, however, I also found out that I have a thyroid issue so I am working on getting that fixed. I really want to have as healthy of a pregnancy as I can, when it does happen. We also want to be good examples for any kids we are blessed with (whether biological or adopted).

Anyway, I could write more but I don't want to bore you all. :) I am also an aspiring writer so I sometimes don't know when to stop. ;)
