welcome I have found out that I am allergic to spenda and it caused me to put on more weight than watching how much sugar that I ate.

Hi i am new to the group. I love baking and find that it is a wonderful stress reliever. I love that splenda now has sugar and brown sugar for baking. Now I can make the deserts that I love I just use splenda baking products. I live in Colorado so I always have to adjust for the altitude. It's great to meet everyone.

Hello everyone I'm new here but I love to bake for christmas I baked at least 50 dozen cookies. I ate myself 6 dozen cookies over the holiday but that was christmas. haven't baked cookies since then. but I have baked lots of bread.I LOVE BAKING i love the measuring all of it is soooo relaxing to me. I don't have to eat the stuff to enjoy baking but I do just to taste to see if it's good.

Welcome! I just joined this group as well. I have always loved baking, and last fall I took a cake decorating class at Michaels, which was NOT good for my hips! Homemade cake with fresh buttercream? Deadly.

One of my favorite desserts that isn't too bad is from Tosa Reno's Eat Clean Cookbook. It's a mousse/pudding and I've modified it a little. If you use less chocolate and less milk, it will be thicker. Original recipe calls for 1/2c. milk, 3/4cup dark chocolate chips.
This recipe as written came out smooth like a pudding.

12 oz Silken Tofu Firm, drained (Must be silken for texture)
3/4 c. Almond/Skim/Soy milk
2 tsp. Vanilla
10 oz. White Chocolate Chips/Chocolate Bar (I mixed one Ghirardelli bar and about half a bag of nestle white chips)

Melt chocolate in a double boiler. While the chocolate is melting, combine tofu, vanilla and milk in a food processor. Process until smooth. Add melted chocolate and process until blended. Strain mixture through a sieve using a spatula if needed to get most of the mixture through. Chill for 2 hours.

I've made it three different ways, with dark chocolate chips and mint chips during the holidays, dark chocolate chips, and white chocolate chips. All 3 have been fantastic!

Thanks for having me. I try to bake something new everyday. The problem is most of what I bake is no good for my hips. Do you guys share any healthy recipes that are also YUMMY? Anything Chocolate is appreciated. LOL

I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
