I agree about giving it away! It feels good to give it away, and it gets it out of the house. I save us a few each and try to give the rest away. If it's not here, I won't eat it. The other thing too is freezing some of the dough and then baking it at another time.

I do most of my baking to give away, but I also love to sample and make sure everything is okay. Luckily once it is gone it is gone.

I completely agree. You get the full flavor and fat taste, but automatically controlled portions. I also try to bake to specifically give it away. So I make something, eat one or two, then give the rest away (parties, get-togethers, birthdays etc).

I like at this point to change portion sizes. Making mini cookies, muffins and cakes are enjoyable and cute!
Thanks also for the warm welcome!

Welcome to the team! Being a good baker can make losing weight more difficult, but modifying the recipes can be enjoyable.

Like everyone else here, I enjoy baking! My best are cookies. Pies are a close second. I am also starting to move into cake baking.
I am working on making the recipes a bit healthier or changing the sizes. Such as making smaller cookies with a premeasured scoop.
Otherwise, my name is Brittany. I look forward to getting new ideas and recipes and sharing them too!
