I started my weight loss journey having found out I was wheat-intolerant. Followed a VLCD until about 6 weeks and was on meal replacements with one main meal per day of meat/chicken and veggies.
Now I am adding food back into my diet.
Have been experimenting with bread recipes - wheat-free. Pizza dough is just fine.
Also baking low-sugar, low-fat to keep up with my diet regime.
Made an Irish Soda Bread this afternoon, using wheat-free flour - which apparently is just great for Irish Soda Bread! Can't touch it until tomorrow as it has to rest. It smells wonderful!
If this is ok will bake another tomorrow but with raisins and cinnamon to make a bread to toast. Staying with friends for the weekend so will take it with me.
