Thanks for the welcomes emoticon (s). I appreciate your help and direction as I start this new journey. I don't think it's going to be too hard. I just need to learn to look at sodium content on things as well as calories and fat, which is what I ususually do.

Welcome Cobabies! I just read up on your disease. It sounds like something like you can manage. Salt reduction makes sence. At first you will crave salt but soon you won't miss it. The thing to watch for is packaged foods. I found lowering salt helped me lose weight. I am doing this to lower blood pressure.

My doctor just put me on a low sodium diet for Meinere's disease. This is all new to me, but I'm hoping to get some good tips from this group.
