Hi all! I am just starting this today. I've been a part of another website for tracking fitness and weight loss, but my support system crashed during the holidays and never picked back up again. I'm really excited about SparkPeople because even if I don't get a great support base, I have a points system to help keep me motivated. I love fitness tracking available here, also. The fact that you can create your own strength training workout or work with one of their's is wonderful. I feel encouraged just by the design of the website to work hard, watch my points and SP level go up, and watch my weight go down!!
I'm from NW Georgia, and I love that there is a group specifically designed for my state, and for vegetarians (I don't know many people that are). I'm hoping I can make friends here, but like I said, even if I don't I think this site will help me stay motivated in ways that no site has in the past.
