I do wish you success on this journey to good habits. It's not easy, but it's certainly worth the effort.
If you're not in the habit of reading nutrition labels, that's a good place to start. Canned foods are very often high in sodium, any processed food is, frozen prepared foods, deli meats etc. I cook from scratch most of the time, including baking my own bread without salt. Some canned products have a "no added sodium" label now: Francisco Rinaldi spaghetti sauce, several brands of canned tomatoes, Goya beans to name a few. Bread and cakes are high in sodium. One thing that surprised me is whole chickens and turkey, some are infused with a salt solution, and are very high, so be sure to read those labels.

Hello... two days ago i was rushed to the ER room with a horrible headache come to find out that my blood pressure was extremely high! I went to my personal doctor and he basically told me that I need to Stop the salt in take completely or lower it as much as possible. I thought i was a horrible migraine but boy was I wrong. Rude awaken for me. So now I am on my journey to loosing weight as well as lowering my sodium intake. Wish me Luck!
