Just had a good salmon and veggies supper and did not use the salt shaker (although tempted) - getting used to the base flavors. I used a McCormick garlic and herbs mix on the salmon. Yummm.

I know everyone can't do this, but I use "No Salt" salt substitute.....it does have potassium in it so check with your doctor!

Hi Ms Helen! I have heard that bananas and celery will lower BP too -- so I am including them as often as I can! You probably have other good habits too that keep your pressure in line! Thanks for the advice!

Hi Jeanie.........you sound like me with wanting chips instead of a cookie. So far I don't have problems with the BP.

I am trying to make healthier choices by having more fruits and veggies. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hi Team, my name is Jeanie, I am a saltaholic. I would much rather have a bag of chips than a cookie any day. I have to say that I have seen people way worse than I am (a certain brother-in-law comes to mind), but my BP's have been high ever since I have gained weight. I am on Benicar Hct which usually keeps me under control. A few more good habits would be welcome. Thanks, all!

Hello, My name is Vonni and I have High Blood Pressure. Because of this I've been watching my salt intake by getting rid of my salt shaker and replacing it with herbs / spice shakers. Taking care of my health one day at a time.
