Welcome to the team Kathleen! I, too, have had problems with swollen extremities. It's very necessary for me to watch my sodium intake, increase fluid consumptions, & move through out the day. I'm doing so much better with the advice & tips from this team & also the 10K team (dedicated to getting 10,000 steps in a day). This has been so helpful to keep sodium in check & just move every 20-30 minutes for at least 3-5 minutes. It's a little more difficult on work days.
