Hi Kathy, I am so happy that you have decided to join this team. For starters, READ LABELS! The amount of sodium in processed foods is beyond belief! You can instruct the Nutrition Tracker to track the sodium in the foods you enter. Fresh herbs and seasonings like Mrs. Dash help to flavor your foods with less salt. Just making small changes at first helps. Your tastes gradually change and things you used to like, can taste too salty! You can do it.
Try to have the salt in the cupboard so you have to think & try the food 1st before you consider putting any on. A little salt goes along way. I use to eat high salt in a lot of things. Then I cut down just a little @ a time. Now if I eat something w/ too much sodium in it then my gums feel icky & I feel weighed down. Hope this helps.

Welcome Kathy. Just to get started, I recommend you find a substitute to keep your cravings at bay while reducing the sodium in your foods. There are a lot of really good threads here with different links to other websites to help you.
