Spine doc has me doing only YOGA until further notice, probably 3-4 weeks. so now I'm really watching what I eat. Hatha Yoga ain't a real fast fat burner.

"I can do all things if I just get off my but's and admit I'm in control of me!" SGM 1:1-5 The only real verse I need.

Never say you didn't have enough time: You have the same amount of time that was given to Helen Keller, Albert Einstein, William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar, Winston Churchill.

I teach because I love to Learn!

Pretty good; I'm down 19.5 Lbs, more importantly I feel a lot better. Struggling with the cardio, it takes a lot out of me.
I have taken the attitude: "I would rather drop while on the bike, than on the couch with a bag of chips in my hand"

Sounds like you have a lot on your plate, and yet I don't hear a word of "poor me" in there at all. You sound like a man just doing what he has to do to stay as healthy as he can.

Thanks for sharing all of that, and welcome. You are a welcome addition to the site and to the team.

Greetings,
I joined Spark people at the behest of my dietitian.
I have many health conditions which make it difficult to exercise at a level sufficient to achieve and maintain adequate cardiovascular health.

My goal is lose 25 Lbs, lower blood sugar, blood lipids and to feel better.
Essentially, I want to control the dietary risk factors for cardiovascular disease and cancer.
So far I have lost 13 Lbs. The meal tracker has made it go smoothly.

I suffer from: CAD, COPD, Pre- Diabetes, Proteinuria, HGD in Barrett’s Esophagus, Lumbosacral Radiculopathies, Lumbar Stenosis, Mixed motor sensory polyneuropathy with demyelinative and chronic axonal changes. I also suffer from an Immune Mediated Necrotizing Inflammatory Myopathy, for which I receive IVIG infusions every 4 to 5 weeks. This disease limits my ability to exercise due to weak muscles and muscle wasting. There is no cure for this however; it is not terminal and the Infusions are keeping me at an independent functional level. I receive physical and occupational therapy twice a week which helps lessen my pain.
I am determined to maintain my functional level and improve my quality of life.

I am a Prostate cancer survivor, and have endured the surgery to correct; in addition to open heart surgery and many other invasive and non invasive interventions.

I am thankful that I can get around, do some chores around the house and some cooking.
My loving wife, family and friends are a never ending source of encouragement and support.

Anyone else out there with a neuromuscular problem?
