Im not so much fat as i am just a beast of a man... I have a nice combination of being Tall and having big/wide shoulders.... I really do hide my weight good. however, the scales don't lie and i do have a decent "BEER" gut going.... Also i have high blood pressure which needs to be addressed which hopefully will go down as i lose weight and start making better food choices :)

Just a comment, you do not look like 290 lb at all.

I hear ya!

For breakfast i had a bowl of Apple Cinnamon Cheerios with 1/2 Milk, A Banana, and a bottle of water. I just ate lunch and had 2 clementines, a bottle of water, and a turkey roll-up with spinach, onion, tomato, and hot mustard (i think with horse radish), and tonight i am making Sauerkraut and Polish sausage with some steamed veggies for the Football game.... I budget enough cal for a beer or 2 and a snack for tonight!

Hey man-

Welcome to the team and to SparkPeople. I hit 300lbs and knew it was time to make a change too. Outside of the "men" groups, everything is pretty much all women and woman-centric... including the resources etc. I think it is great though. I started just over 2 weeks ago and SparkPeople is totally keeping me on track and teaching me lots.

Now time to get my salad and water ready for a great day of football! lol

Hello,
Like most guys i enjoy eating junk food, watching football (MSU SPARTAN FAN) and pretending that i know about the fine things in life like what girls think and cool cars.... Truth is the first part... eating junk food especially paired with watching football... is why i am here... over the years i managed to get to about 290 pounds..... So i am in for the long haul now!!!! I've tried lots of things such as weight watchers and a few other diet communities but i noticed there isn't many guys who are willing to admit that

A) they have a problem and
B) they need to lose weight...

Truth is having a few guys to talk to would be a breath of fresh air.... Anyway it would be nice to talk to you guys over the course of this journey to lose weight.... Look forward to talking with ya....

Send me a message! we can talk about sports, food, girls... whatever... have fun and be yourself!

-Matt
