I know just what you mean. i'm not a veggie (yet), but am trying to minimize the meat consumption. Hubby on the other hand is not all that keen on the idea. He does go along as best he can, but still likes his meat.
Join in on the 'Back Porch' thread which is a 'sticky' on the team page. We tend to be a little slow here -- trying to balance on line with life in general, but the advice we do get here from each other seems to be well worth it. It's sure helped me a lot.

Just found SP two weeks ago. I've been a veggie for over 10 years now. I managed the first 35+lbs on my own, but it took a year. I stalled out and hope this site and the support of all of you can help me get moving again.
I've been incorporating more and more whole foods into our household diet, and I'm always looking for more info and good ideas. Especially on the taste side! I love anything whole and the more unprocessed the better, but my husband is another story entirely! He still eats meat (though not at home) and he doesn't like the "nutty" taste of whole wheat, so I'm doing all I can to sneak it in. He's a good sport for the most part so any new ideas I find, he's game to try.
