Hi, again!

I have just copied an old post to the new Food! forum. It contains most of two chapters of a cookbook I wrote for omnis who wanted to be able to serve meals to veg'ns as guests. There's a lot about cooking for both without cooking two meals.

If you're familiar with the McD books you're probably familiar with the ideas, but maybe something will be new.

welcome winningwalk! i have an almost 6 year old daughter and a 15 month old son. i understand the busyness! I've read one of mcdougall's books, and it's fantastic. i can't get myself to stay away from oils, but i try to use as little of dairy and meat as i can. i also have a hubby who is not interested in giving up meat. he eats my veggie foods, but "needs" the meat and cheese. ah well. my kids pretty much will eat whatever i eat, which is good for them.
again, welcome to the group!

Hi, everyone! My name is winningwalk -- so nice to meet all of you!

I'm part of the McDougall forums (as "willow") -- a newer member there, but not new to vegetarianism.... but new to practicing veganism. My health requires it and I'm feeling so much better! But some days habits are hard, particularly with a family who isn't along for the ride (especially hubby -- and no, he doesn't want to "convert", LOL -- not even maybe... He believes the 3 main food groups are meat, grease and sugar!!!!) emoticon

Oh -- I should have mentioned at the start that I'm a 43yo mom of three. I have a married son and two daughters, ages 8 and 5-1/2, so I stay busy!
