So I picked up the spring edition of Clean Eating magazine and am following their month long food guide. I am on day 2 and liking the way I feel. There are good recipes and some sound advice.
Anyone else following an eating plan?

Libbe1631, dairy is a huge question mark in my life. I don't drink milk but do eat cheese and yogurt. I have tried replacing the cheese with different products and think that for me, the choice is made out of convenience rather than health...not something I really want to admit--but true.
Dee--please do come in and comment. I think I will be blogging much of my experience with whole foods and trying to come to a better understanding of how they represent a lifestyle choice and a healtier lifestyle at that. If you find any articles or web sites that you think I would like post them please! I will try to do the same :)

Teraboo - welcome to the group. If you're into recipes, I highly recommend fatfreevegan.com. She has hundreds of really good vegan-friendly recipes.
As for the dairy thing - my personal beliefs are that adult humans don't need dairy products of any kind, and I've managed to live well for 40 years without them. My partner on the other hand, is very healthy and happy and he uses raw milk every day. If you're going the raw milk route you really have to know and trust your source.

Hi! I've been a vegetarian for about 4 years or so and have fine tuned my eating habits and preferences to a place I like. However, there is a large volume of food and healthy(ier?) food practices that I would like to engage in. Here are a few things I would love to find out:
1. New recipes (love the Moosewood cookbooks and Rose Elliot also has great recipes)
2. Whole food storage...how long can you keep something?
3. Finding a balance between fruit, vegetable, and grain ...
4. Letting go of dairy...is it possible / necessary?
These are few things I hope to find here. I love the opportunity to chat with people who have experience...hopefully that is what I find here.
