Just got back from Fort Campbell, KY yesterday. Out visiting with my fiance. It had been over four months since I last saw him. It was great, but since we hadn't seen each other in a while, we needed some time to readjust to eachother. By the time we were readjusted, I had to leave and go back to NJ. UGH! Very frustrating! We will probably get married in October in KY (just the two of us). Then, sometime next year, I think we will have our big family affair with the church and reception. Good times ahead! It was hard to leave him yesterday, but I know he will be coming out to NJ in about 2 weeks, then home in September on 24 days of leave. Yahoo!
I'm trying to plan ahead as to what I can do for a career once I get married. I am currently a research scientist, but my fiance is getting stationed in OK next year and there are no pharmaceutical companies out there. I plan on trying to teach at the gym (on or off base) and currently got into a dietetics distance learning program to become a registered dietician. So, yes...Nia, yoga and Zumba will be heading to Fort Sill in 2012! :-)
Yahoo for your son being in the Army! Is he a medic? Thank him for his service from me! :-)
PS: I was thinking of taking the leader position. I'd like to have this group be more active! :-)
Welcome to the team. I am fairly new to Nia but I love it. I usually just follow along with a video I find on you tube. Same way with Zumba. I live in the country so can not always get into town for a class.
Congratulations on your engagement. Our Son is a Sgt. in the Army and is currently station at Tripler Army Hospital. So when is the wedding? It is a great idea to take Nia to the base. Good thinking.
Nice to meet you and I look forward to getting to know you.
BTW - this team's leader has not posted in over 60 days. Any way you would want to take over as the leader?

Hi!!! I'm a Nia White Belt in New Jersey! I teach Nia and Zumba (working on my 200 hr Yoga certification) and am a Health Coach and holistic nutritionist. If you need anything or have a question, just send a message. :-)
I'd like to see me activity for this team! There is so much we can do to help our fellow Nia-lovers out there get healthy!
PS: Just got engaged in April to a wonderful man who is active duty in the Army! Guess I'll be an Army wife starting next year! :-) I'll have to bring Nia to the base! :-)
Maybe you can give us newcommers some tips.
If it is going to be it is up to me !!!
Aloha Nia-Sparks Community -
My name is Kiwi Heilman, I am a Nia Brown Belt from Hawaii, currently living in King George, VA.
I LOVE using the Sparks program both for myself and students who also need guidance, encouragement and a plan for shifting habits into healthy relationships with food, movement and the body in general.
Right now, I am in process of re-aligning my nutrition for myself and my family... and dancing again!
Blessings & Joy :0)
