I have not been active for 2 years...for several reasons, but I did have a fall about 1 year ago. I really hurt my knees, and they are still not 100% as they were, but I am ready to get active again. I have been shocked at how stiff and out of shape I have become in just two years. Tomorrow is the first day that I am going to go back to the gym. There is a really fun video series of 'chair exercises" that you can find on YOutube by a guy named Eugene.
I am a grandma who has always been very active. At least I was until I had an accident and broke my kneecap. This injury has really sidelined me and now I find myself gaining more lbs. than I know what to with. I work full time, many days on my feet all day, so consequently, after I get home and get dinner cooked, I find it hard to do any besides sit. I am hoping that if I can lose the 15 lbs that I have gained, maybe the pain will ease up as well.
