You can't really compare what you've eaten vs. what you've burned perse, but you can look at the reports by going to the My Tools menu on the orange bar on top of all pages and then hovering over it. It will show you the Reports link, the fifth one down, where you can check your progress with nutrition, exercise, weight and Other Goals.
I don't think there is a way to compare the daily, but you are smart to realize that it is weekly averages that really matter. These reports give you a good overview.

Hi! I'm Julie, I'm relatively inexperienced with forums so please bear with me if I post incorrectly. I started with spark people last week and have been trying to be good about updating my nutrition and fitness pages. my current question is, how do I use them together? for example if I eat above the recommended calories, but I also had a great day of exercise where I burned a lot of calories, is there a way of seeing that? can i view it on a weekly basis? thanks in advance for any help & clarification anyone can provide.
