I have some of the smaller clothes that I bought two years ago when I went through the towns getting all the way to 210ville! I just have to get back there and then I will never revisit these towns. Meanwhile... It will be fun to get rid of clothes again and fun to fit into my clothes that are still like new. I am determined to look and feel that good again soon. I hope to see Onederland this trip! So glad that we are on this journey together!!
You're welcome. Pants falling off!...What a great problem to have. I bet you're burning extra calories by having to keep pulling them back up. lol! I'm the same way, can't stand clingy clothes. You'll be pulling up those 18's before long!
Thanks! I've managed to hang on to staying in 250-ville despite two stressful weeks with getting my kids ready for & back to school and a mini vacation right before school started! I was super excited when I spent the morning gardening yesterday and had to constantly heave my shorts back up! My 20Ws are sliding off my hips! The only problem is, I'm in the 18Ws (barely), but I don't like clingy shorts so not quite where I need to be to wear them outside yet!
I've been getting rid of mine too but mostly have worn them out because I've been HERE in this size for so long. Time to move it on down. MY plans are to keep tossing. I am keeping ONE pair of big pants so that when I reach my goal weight, I can hold them up and see the difference. I really want to do that!
He he, MORE clothes to Goodwill bin in the parking lot today :) I went through the pants and jeans this time and tried them all on which my 3 year old thought was very funny and entertaining! About half gone now--a few pairs left. You really do have to try them on and not just go by the tag. I had jeans marked 24W that fit perfectly right now (I'm wearing a 20W in most things right now) since they are cut to be very form fitting and I like things not so form fitting. Then I had pants marked weird things like 4 or 2 -- not 4X or 2X, but from those stores that made up their own sizes in the plus size section so you don't feel bad about the big size I guess. I also got rid of a dress that probably fit fine, but it had a memory of a job interview where I didn't get the job and I never really liked it after that. It was time to let it go since the memory wasn't a good one and I haven't worn it in years.
The reality is settling in that in another 20 pounds or so nothing in my closet will fit. Everything will be big enough that I have to give it away and get something that fits :)
More clothes to the donation bin! It feels good, but hard at the same time. Once again a few things went back in my closet that need to be donated, but I'm not ready yet, I feel like I won't have any clothes then...which is ridiculous since I have a ton of clothes. I now officially own more t-shirts and tank tops than I've had in my whole life..."workout" clothes. I haven't touched my work pants...I work from home right now and it's summer in Florida...it will be so cool to try them on in a few months and have to donate the lot because they are all too big!
If you have nice business or business casual things to donate please consider the non-profit Dress for Success. They help women who need interview and work clothing and they always need plus size clothes, shoes, bras, hose, costume jewelry. You can mail to them too if there isn't one in your area, but they are nationwide. I did a project with them and know that they are a quality organization that helps women. If you're a man (or have a husband losing weight too) there is a similar organization for men's clothing as well.
No! I've already tossed (given away) all my 3Xs...I don't want anything that big in my closet ever again. I still have a few things marked 22/24 that are too big and need to go, but it is hard when you don't have a replacement! Certain 22Ws (bottoms) are still fitting and I wish they didn't! I've just gotten back into 20Ws though so I'm really happy about that...it is awful, I know, but I really want to get into 18s and 16s because then it will be so much easier to find clothes my age!
