Wow, I'm a little intimidated by the idea of a dollar a leaf on kale, but welcome to the team!
Hello All - It is now a number of years that I am on my weight loss trek. Three years, and did loose a couple of pounds or most of my augmentum fat as Dr. Oz would say.
I am still working it. In summer time I would eat a variety of 20-30 vegs mostly but also fruit. With salad, soup, smoothies it is easy.
Now I am following The Plan because even with a green diet I am getting constipated and at time it is feeling as if someone is dragging a dry towel through my intestines. So I decided to test my food. The result of this testing is recorded in my blogs.
At present I have a cold and I think that is messing with my stats, but that is ok. I will just keep on keeping on. The cold will pass and then I will be ok for another round. It will be interesting to compare the stats for the two different scenario's.
I am so glad all of you are into real food. We have never been great on the restaurant or fast food scene. I grew up in South Africa and most mums cooked every day, from scratch. I am living in Auckland, New Zealand now for the last 16 years and still we are cooking from scratch. Things that you take for granted e.g. pumpkin in a can, is simply not available here.
Although NZ is a beautiful country. Our food is very expensive. The other day I paid NZ$2,99 for 3 kale leafs. Can you believe that? Zuchinni is now $7.99 a kilo because it is winter here.
Well that is it for now. Have a great day.
Maggie from Auckland the City of Sails in New Zealand.
