I've eaten fairly healthy for the last two years, but in the last few months I've gotten more serious about ridding my diet of processed foods, and eating clean. I'm a college student, and I'm finding it financially difficult. So if there are any hints/tips out there I'd really appreciate it :)
I've been using SparkPeople for years, but never participated in a group. During my undergraduate degree I was really into nutrition, and became quite thin. But since then my weight has fluctuated. I have a good handle on what constitutes good nutrition, and can carry it out. My problem is that I'm either on or off the wagon. I occasionally become obsessed with nutrition, while at other times I'll add butter just because I can. I also have a desk job, which doesn't help. I recently quit my gym, and next week I start seeing a personal trainer. I'm hoping this group will add accountability, and give me some good ideas to change up my menu. Cheers!
Welcome Molly.......we are here for you. There is so much to say for eating properly. Hubby and I read labels....we do not eat empty calories, we eat as much fresh veggies and fruit as possible and when they are not available, we eat frozen with no added sauces,e ts. This has worked great for me. I have bgone from a 2x to an 18 and I amon my way to the next size as my clothes are getting really loss on me. I really feel great and I will never be a size 8 as my body is not built for that, I am happy with my slow steady lose and I feel great. I hope you will get the same results as I have. I did not put it on over nite and it will not come off over nite. I have lost a total of 80 pounds on my program
