I've been with sparkpeople for a while off-and-on and only today discovered this team. Last September I discovered that a lot of my general fatigue and "inexplicable" ailments were actually food allergy or sensitivty symptoms and since then, I have had to cut out many foods from my diet that essentially entail that I have to eat real food. No preservatives, no dyes, no artificial sweeteners, no corn, nothing.
I love to cook and I love to eat! My favourite food ethnicities are Thai, Indian and Greek, except that I now know that I can't eat cucumber so there goes all my favourite Greek foods! I'm so happy to find a real food team on here. I can't believe it took me so long to look for it!
Some non-food background: I'm 24, female, Canadian and I work for a large engineering firm and spend all day sitting in front of a computer. My boyfriend and I recently bought a condo together. I love to travel and have been to 5 continents so far (only Europe and Africa remaining).
I'm having a really hard time keeping myself accountable exercise-wise. I would like to lose about 70-75lbs from my current weight, which would put me around the middle of the healthy range for my height.
