Sounds like fun! While living at your grandma's see if you can get her to give you some inside tips!
My family is originally from East Texas. Old country people which means that I grew up on fried everything with gravy. That way of cooking is actually becoming a lost art form. The ways all our grandmothers cooked is becoming a lost art form!
Best inside 411 that I got from my great-grandma: For the best taste cook your chicken fried steak in the same grease that you have fried your chicken in. Fry chicken with the bones. The bones flavor the grease, the grease flavors the crust on your chicken fried steak. Even seasoned cooks don't know that tip!
Always cook in a cast iron skillet.
There are so many tricks our grandmas have learned that we've never even though about.
What a fabulous idea to take a food tour across Europe. Are you planning a culinary career?
Welcome to our team and we're looking forward to hearing about your cooking adventures.

I love to cook everything from gourmet meals to down home comfort foods. I prefer to only eat food made from scratch, but of course this is hard in this day and age.
I'll soon be moving to my grandmother's house with my boyfriend to save money for a three month food tour across Europe next year. She has a lot more cooking accessories for me to expand my home cooking horizon.
I'm looking to lose about 50 pounds before next August so that I'll look good as a bridesmaid in TWO weddings and also so that I'll look good when I head to Europe.
If anyone wants to say hey, feel free to message me. I'm still figuring out the system so if anyone has tips, give me a shout.
Thanks for having me :)
