Just listen to your body. If you crave something, it generally means your body needs attention. Just like staying hydrated, not waiting until you're thirsty to take a drink of water. :)

I'm doing better and better at choosing whole foods over the past few months. I'm trying to follow the 80-20 rule - Eat whole foods 80% of time...for now. I hope to someday soon change my taste so that I don't crave sweet or salty foods.

Welcome Pamela....I have found so much good advise on these wonderful Sparkpages. Hubby and I have given up 99% of the processed foods. We eat natural, veggies, meats, and we do not do any prepaged foods, ie. Hamburger Helper, so on. We eat as much fresh veggies as possible and if they are not available we eat frozen. If it has any ingredients that we cannot pronounce, we feel we cannot digest it so it is not on our list. At first, it was a little difficult, but now it is much easier. You will also notice the difference in the taste of the food.

Keep on track

Hi, Pamela, and welcome!

A lot of people have done very well on the WW program. But, I think that you can learn to create your own healthful meals using fresh and whole foods - and save some $$.

Hope you have fun here.

Hi all,

I have been following the WW Core plan since around Thanksgiving time. I found SparkPeople today and love the site and the tools and the forums. I hope to be around here some as I'm trying to cut our processed foods and eat mostly whole foods.

Pamela

Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right.
