My goal is only 1-2 pounds per week. I know a lot of it is just water weight, as most of it was just the first week. I also had to convince myself that less calories than goal is not a good thing. That was really difficult, but I'm doing better now. I want it to be for life, not just temporary!

You lost 15 lbs in a month? Wow!

Be careful, though; gradual loss is best and you'll probably reach a point at which the loss will slow down. That's okay and just stick with your plan.

Congrats!

Alysia :)

I am getting results overall, but I have always tended towards whole foods rather than processed, although I did allow them for convenience before. I have lost about 15 pounds since I started, less than a month ago!

Hi, Dragonfly:

Good for you! Are you getting results in your weight loss program by switching to whole foods?

The more I eat the real stuff, the nastier the processed stuff tastes. It's like I can actually taste the chemicals in it. If I want something quick and easy, I make a stir-fry.

Hello, Bridget, and welcome to our team!

Eating real is very easy and, before long, you'll start feeling the difference. You don't have to give up all convenience foods, either; there are some that are healthy choices. For example, Success Rice makes quick-cooking brown rice and microwavable rice packets that are tasty and easy on the calories.

Kids love fresh fruit and cold, crunchy, seedless grapes were always on demand with mine (food of the gods!). Water rich and easy to eat, add cubes of cheese and you have a great, balanced after-school snack.

We're all here to help, so jump in any time!

Welcome to the team! I love your attitude! Toss that processed food! And remember to keep your shopping to the perimeter of the grocery stores as that's where most of the "real food" (produce, meats, dairy) is located. Good luck with your goals!

Hi, I am new to the team and I am trying to get real about eating real food. I loved process foods, so this will be somewhat of a challenge. I have already started the new year off pretty well by buying some real food and stocking up the pantry and fruit dish on the table. I still have a lot of weeding to do in the fridge and pantry but I am game.
