Welcome to the team and congratulations for doing so well with your husband.
To curb my substituting food for nicotine, I joined and am still a member of nicotine-anonymous.org (for 15 years now!)
The program keeps me from relapsing, and SO SO MUCH MORE. I practice tools for LIVING clean and free. You can be a member even when you are still using nicotine.
My best to you both.
With grace and self esteem, honor the Passionate Tiger in You. Refresh your personal high regard (daily) in order to live happy, joyous and free.
It helps when you both go for it together. Having the support right there at home can make a big difference. Welcome to sparks.
I have been here before, and just wasn't able to make it. Now, the hubby and I quit October 20, 2012. So far, it has been much better than any other time we have tried to quit. We are both supportive, both on board, and both thrilled with our success. We are using the gum, and are really pleased with how well this is going. HOWEVER, both of us have put on weight (me, about 15lbs, him, about 25.) So, we have made a new commitment to ourselves, to get rid of the excess and get healthier! I feel I need the extra support and motivation that only a group of people who have been where I am can give, and knew this would be the place.
