You quit one day at a time, and soon it's a year and right now for me it's three years and seven plus months. Take it one day at a time and sometimes one hour at a time. I have even had to work at the quit ten minutes at a time, of course, now most of the time I don't eve think about it, but every once in a while something will set off a craving. So I take deep breaths and say I choose not to smoke!

Since you have a patch on I'm a bit surprised that your nerves are on edge. You're still using the drug. Maybe it's just the thoughts running through your head about lack and loss.

Hey group support. I'm Linda and I am on DAY 3 of quieting. I did cheat yesterday with 2 ciggs. But I'm hoping nothing makes me want to cheat today. I'm using the patch to help me kick the habit. It is so damn hard to quit and stay quit. I have done this once before that was pretty successful. I had quit for a whole year and then a simple slip up drew me back in. I have such an addictive personality that its hard to stop one of my bad habits. Yesterday while at work I looked at photos of lung cancer all day to remind me why I am doing this to my self. Sorry to write so much but my nerves are a little on edge right now............
