Good Luck! I myself have also quit many times - I'm smoking now but will be quitting again (hopefully for the very last time!) soon. I'm just trying to get a good plan in place and get my nerve up to pick the day! I wish you the best!

Tara, You can quit. You say you've done it many times. The trouble isn't with quitting but with living clean and free. What works for me is the fellowship of nicotine anonymous. There are meetings in person, on the phone and on line. I'm lucky and have two meetings a week in my area. I also go to them to support their staying open. The newcomer is the most important person in the room, and that is whether they smoke or not. We accept nicotine addicts whether they are active or "smober" as we say it. I've been clean and free for 12 years and 9 months now. WE CAN DO TOGETHER WHAT WE CANNOT DO ALONE.

My name's Tara, and today is my first day without a cigarette. It's is NOT (however) my first quit. To be honest, I lost track of how many times I've tried to quit. I've had tons of false starts, a few good runs, but always go back to the smokes. I guess that's addiction for you.
At any rate, I'm just trying to take this one day at a time. I also wanted to join this group for the weight issues that come along with quitting. I figured it's an all-in-one stop for your quit smoking needs!
