I've hiked the Tahoe Rim Trail in sections, it goes thru Heavenly. For the lake trails, my favorite view is the one over Sand Harbor, north of Heavenly on the east side of the lake. There really aren't any "bad" trails!

Hi and welcome to the team! I can't help you with trails in those states, because I live in southern New Mexico and am blessed to live right outside the borders of the Gila National Forest and lots of great opportunities! But glad you've joined us and good luck on your quest for new areas close to you!
I have been blessed to hike at many beautiful locations around the country. I also am always looking for new places to visit in my area. The area rails to trails provide great Sunday afternoon or long weekend getaways! My favorite is the Nickelplate heading South out of Peru, IN. Would love to hear from others on great hiking/biking trails in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois.
