You're just coming into your prime hiking season - and I'm just leaving mine behind! Temps in Phoenix, AZ are now expected to hitting 100+ for the next three months or so. We can still get in nice early morning hikes on the local desert mountains, but for a beautiful, breezy hike we'll have to drive a couple hours up into the higher mountains.
Joyfully owned by two retired racing greyhounds.

Im so glad spring is here to make walking more enjoyable but a few short months from now the Missouri heat will be almost intolerable. My husband and i like to do several 2-4 mile hikes a week on the local greenway trails, park and at the nature center. when we have time to get out of town our walks are closed to 7 miles, usually. We're hoping to hike out and wildneress camp sometime this year but have not yet decided on where. Usually we camp at state parks, army corps of engineers or conservation areas and find hiking trails nearby.
