emoticon to the team - I love hiking, too, and it's great exercise. Your goal of hiking the entire AT is a good one - were you thinking of doing it as a thru hike? I've never hiked in that area but would love to do some sections of it someday - I've done parts of the PCT and thanks to my friend LINDAKAY228, I've hiked a very short section of the Continental Divide Trail, too - no plans for hiking any of the trails end-to-end, either in sections or as a thru hike, although I'd still like to think about doing the John Muir Trail, which is a section of the PCT. In the meantime, I'm just happy to hike wherever I can.

Happy trails!

Sounds like an awesome goal. I know you can do it. There are a lot of beautiful places where I live, but each part of this nation has it's own special beauty and I want to explore others. Sounds like really beautiful areas there also!

Years ago when I was fit,lol I used to hike sections of the Delaware water Gap through to New Jersey alot and camp there. I live close to the Pennsylvania Delaware water gap trail.Right now I go out on little spurts since my weight gain.I have a dream to hike the whole trail someday when my kids are old enough.I gotta get in shape first! My goal is to go to Delaware water gap and at least get to the top of the cliff where you can see the beautiful river and mountains. Thanks all for the welcome!!

Welcome to the team! A dream of mine is to hike sections of the AT. I've been reading a lot of books about it lately. Don't know if I could do the whole thing, but who knows. But at least parts of it would be so nice. I've also hiked parts of the Continental Divide trail because it runs right through the area I live in. I'm in southern New Mexico. Glad to hav eyou with us!
