Hello, all my fellow 20-somethings. I'm glad to see that I'm in good company here.

I've been eating sensibly and exercising regularly for about 6 months now, and I'm ridiculously close to my first goal of a 40-pound weight loss - after that, I hope to continue to lose another 20. I feel terrific already, and I can't believe how far I've come.

Eating-wise, I'm watching my portion sizes, eating lots of whole grains and fresh produce, and trying to choose lower-calorie foods. Fitness-wise, I take yoga and kickboxing classes, I'm steadily building my running skills on my basement treadmill, and I like to take out fitness dvds from the library. I'm also participating in the New YOU Bootcamp here at Sparkpeople.

My offline cheerleaders consist of my fantastic and supportive husband (he lost 20 pounds along with me at the beginning - now he's at a comfortable weight for him), a few friends who are also shedding pounds and inches (they also participate in my fitness classes, and they look and feel terrific these days), and the women in my family who keep asking me for recipes. I couldn't have accomplished so much already without them, and I couldn't keep up this progress without SparkPeople.

I'm excited to be part of this team, and I can't wait to celebrate progress with all of you in the coming months.
