Thanks. just having somewhere to go to not think about stress or work and consitrate on me and help me look at what I am eating has helped greatly. I cleared brush today and did not feel totaly drained and out of breath. I just want to do what I want when I want.
Hi Gals, Need a friendly voice. Hubby and I got into a disagreement and now we can not talk unless it is "Hi or Bye" I hate that! I have been good about staying away form the sons left over Bday cake but it is calling hard. Guess I will go down stairs and listen to the treadmill for a while. Maybe I should get a punching bag.
Welcome to all the new spark people. I just had to add to this conversation a bit. I sometimes feel bigger than I should when I'm riding with my tanks on and my tummy hanging over, but then I stop and think that most of the time everyone is actually looking at my bike and are so shocked that a lady is riding a bike that I don't feel that they are looking at how I look at all. Now it doesn't bother me so much if I think about it like that. Also I found that if you make your bike look better than you that way everyone will look at it and not you! Anyway I've learned to not really care what other people really think, because they are probably jealous because I'm riding and they aren't. lol

Udually I get the super Sweet. "You look just fine." As I am trying to stuff and squish everything in.
I don't know that mine would say I look bad either...not if he wanted any attention for the next 6 mos :-) ha ha. He will say stuff like "are you going to wear that" when I wear a tank top and I'm like yep I am. Its 92 out there and I'm not wearing sleeves just cuz I have big manly arms. You are lucky - I would love to have someone cook for me - I dont like it very much.
This is so cool. Thanks everyone for the ideas and the place to talk. My hubby would never say that I look bad (Which is nice most of the time) but when I need a Kick he is to nice. He is my chef also So it is double hard when he cooks and I clean.
I do that everytime I see anyone approaching Davis5mom! I had my mirror turned once where I could see my stomach as I rode...I need a leather vest to hide that! No matter how much I suck there's a roll over my jeans :-(
Hi and welcome from MN! I understand what you mean by wanting to look better riding, does anyone else try to suck in their gut when riding in town? Or worry about their upper arms flapping in the breeze?

Hi and welcome from Green Bay, WI. We are so glad you joined us. We have a Harley Classic. Were suppose to go on a benefit ride today but hubby is sick. DANG!!
that sux. I think we have a "shop with a cop" ride this month sometime but darned if I can remember when. I hate working weekends. Used to do it all the time til I was laid off from my last job. The job I finally got a couple months ago is M-F 8-5. I dislike 5pm but I love not working almost every saturday :-) Actually no one ever made fun of me and I started off on a honda rebel...talk about tiny..ha ha
Ohhh racing bike :-) Nice! I had a friend back in South Bend that had one of those. I was leaning towards a Honda 1300 - cant recall the name now - that sits really low but hubby talked me into the Harley since we go to a lot of Harley events.
Hi and welcome to the team. I hear you on the self conscious bit. I am forever thinking about my love handles showing as the wind plasters my shirt to my body - but not much I can do about it so I just enjoy the ride :-) Happy riding to you! What do you ride? I have an '08 Sportster 1200L.
