Welcome to our team! As mentioned earlier, there's lots to learn here, read thru older posts if they don't answer your questions, then ask. I have quite a few tips in my blogs.
Just as a general guideline, now is the time to clean up your diet(eliminate junk, fast foods, "empty calories", sodas) and make time for some sort of daily activity/exercise. Work on getting to sleep on time.
You may want to get your vitamin D, and B12/folate, iron levels checked for anemia. When any of these are low, the symptoms can mimic some of the symptoms of hypothyroid disease.
Here's to 2013 and a new, empowered you! : ) Mzzchief
Never underestimate the value of getting out of your own way.
Congratulations Tania for taking the first step and making yourself and your health as a priority for 2013.. You are worth it!! We, in this group are all in the same boat with Thyroid issues. Though it is challenging, we can make a difference with determination and self love. I'm glad to see you here!

Hi, My name is Tania and I am 31 years old. I have been struggling with a Thyroid problem for the last 2 years. For a while I was doing OK with keeping it under control, but lately I am not doing so good. I have gained a lot of weight and am often very under the weather. I have no Energy and no motivation to do anything. Getting out of bed in the morning is not easy. My goal for 2013 is to get this Thyroid problem and my weight under control, so that I can be a good wife and mother again. I hope that I can get the support to do this here.
