I'm making a new gameplan for my weight loss, debt repayment and apartment clearing. Any tips? I want to work on all of my goals every day, and still get to bed by 10pm!
Well sounds like we all have both challenges and enthusiasm! I had a doctor appointment today and apparently I've lost 4kg (8lbs) since my last appointment! I'd still like to lose another about 10 pounds (4.5 kg). And I want to tone my muscles for nice arms and legs.
I was just in Florida and went to Target (no Target in Canada yet) and picked up the 28 Day BootCamp SparkPeople video. Looking forward to cracking that open on the weekend when I make space in my tiny livingroom to exercise!
I'm back on board as well. I did really well, getting down to my goal weight just before my birthday in July, put on a couple of kilos (that I was ok with, I was still within my range of comfort) and hovered around there for a pretty well up until that sad thing that happened in November, but since then I feel like I've been a little out of control again. No exercise happened for quite some time.
I've been much better this year. I'm tracking again, and my big goal for the year is to work my way up to being able to cycle 100km in one go. I haven't lost anything yet, but it will happen, and I will feel better too!
I'm going to carry on with the fitness commitments I had started in November once I get home and this cold goes away. I've been travelling for almost 3 weeks but I'm going home soon.
- exercising every day, if even just a long walk
- exercising at lunch 2x per week to keep time for other things in the evening
- bringing my lunch so I don't have to eat food court crap
- no eating after about 8pm
I am back on the attack. At my lowest which I credit entirely to sparkpeople and this amazing group I was 132.5. That was May 2007. I weighed myself over the weekend and I am a solid 140. That to me is unacceptable. I am restarting and recommitting to track and eat healthfully and mindfully. I learned and stuck to such good habits for so long, I know a lot of them have simply slipped.
Anyway, I am committing to lose these 8 pounds and I'd like to be able to get them off in the next two months. Right now I am quite sick so I am not working out today but my goals are:
*Work out at least 20 minutes 4 times a week
*Track my calories every day
I need to buy a scale and also go grocery shopping but I made a healthy dinner from stuff in my pantry last night and I had leftovers for lunch so I feel like I am already off to a good start.
To add an exercise, go to 'My Tools' & there's a section for fitness there...then you can 'add cardio' - I typed in Painting & it's *definitely* a calorie burner! (almost 500 calories for an hour of painting!)
Also - there's a great exercise demo section on SP - here's some stuff for your core:
OMG - after only 3 days of tracking, I eat none too well. I always thought that it was the carbs killing me, but it says I don't eat enough! My calorie intake is low too. Tracking is helping though, it's kind of fun! How do I add exercises though? I spent two hours painting doors the other night and I KNOW I killed off some calories doing that! How do I search for exercises that help my belly? Hrm...
I want the Glitter group to sparkle again!! I'm glad you posted!
First off - WOOOOO!!! BABY!
And second - I like your goals.
My goals for this month (Well, the rest of this month & Sept. I guess)
1. keep better track of what I'm eating. (When I do this, I lose weight - when I don't, I don't.... it's so simple! Why is it so hard?)
2. Go to Dance class every Monday
3. Try new fruits & veggies
4. My goal for the next 4 weeks is to lose 4 pounds.
My name is cmightym, and I had a baby. I gained 50+ pounds during the pregnancy, most of it being baby stuff and fluid retention (the miracle of life - it is nasty). Now I'm left with 22 - 23 pounds of unwanted mamafat that I'm eager to lose.
But more than losing the weight, I really want my strength back. I was in good shape when I got pregnant, but bedrest at first plus swollen feet and legs later plus c-section recovery most recently = one out-of-shape cmightym. I just want to feel strong again!
So, my plan is to keep to very basic goals since the weemightym is so very wee.
I want to:
1. drink 8 glasses of water/day
2. shower every day
3. take Livy for a walk in her stroller or carrier every day (weather permitting)
4. eat 4 fruits/veggies per day
that's it for now!
what are your goals for this project? what do you want for yourself?
