Welcome back! Exercise has always been the easiest for me, but maybe because I've finally found stuff that I love.
Once the gym membership thing pulls through, look up classes! I have a YMCA membership, and I take Body Pump (fast-pace strength training--I DEFINITELY recommend it!) as well as some cardio classes (cardio kickboxing, cardio blast, cardio dancing, and I'm interested in looking into Zumba). Once you go a few times, you'll start to make friends at the gym who will help keep you accountable. Plus, you'll want to go just to see them again!
Also, there's always walking! My mom started with walking--if you watch what you eat and walk regularly, you'd be amazed at how much you lose!

Hi, I'm Catie. I've been here before, years ago, but didn't keep up with it. I'm going to try to do more this time. I need to succeed.
I'm 24. I have a three year old daughter. Two years ago when her dad and I split up, I lost about 30 pounds in three months. I was unhappy, and had no appetite. Then I met Dan. He made me happy. I started eating again. And I gained all the weight back. My problem is multi-faceted. I eat too much in too large portions. I eat when Iím bored or when someone else is eating. I am not active. My main problem is my absolute lack of activity. Thatís where I struggle the most. Surprisingly my eating habits have been fairly easy to change and in the last month Iíve lost about 5 pounds.
So here I am, trying again, hopefully for the last time. The insurance at my new job covers gym memberships and Iím just waiting for the information to come through for that so I can find one in town I like. Even better if I can get Dan a membership, too (itís all about the money).
I canít wait to start posting more and learning more about how to be a healthier me!
