Hey all! Joined this site to make friends and gain support in my weightloss & life style change!
I am 20 years old and my fitness partner is my 2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier. He is an amazing motivator for several reasons. Being part of the terrier group, he is relatively high energy and if he doesn't get his run in, he is constantly bringing me his rope or tennis ball or plays tag with the cat (quite entertaining actually). If he DOES get his run in with me, he sleeps all day. I also use each run as a training session for "heel" and i feel like I am so focused on getting him in the perfect position that I forget I'm running.
I am also wanting to get him started in competitive weight pull and he needs to build up his endurance same as I do.
I am very pro "pit bull" and he always behaves perfectly when we are out running and I love getting him out for people to see a well behaved bully. I am working on getting his CGC and after that I am going train him for TDI.
I am very interested in meeting other responsible, educated bully owners! Has anyone here been through the CGC test? If so, any tips?
I started the 5K Your Way Rookie program so I would also like to get in contact with anyone else doing it!
