welcome! I also gained about 30 lbs from working in an office setting! I went from running around for my job all day to sitting at a desk all day, and bam before I knew it the 30 lbs were resting comfortably on my hips and belly and arms!
My name is Allyson, and I joined SparkPeople today (15 June2010). I read about this site in the Washington Post, and I figured that since it's free it might be worth giving it a shot. I work in an office setting, and because of that I have gained a little more than 30 lbs since graduating college....sooo I'm hoping that this community will be able to help me stay motivated to be able to lose the weight and get back into shape.
I started going to the gym back in January, but honestly have not seen a whole lot of improvement in the way that I look. My real main goal is to be able to fit back into my skinny jeans and lose weight around my middle. So, if anyone has any specific suggestions on how to target that area I'm open to suggestions.
