Welcome, A*L*P, of course, I have to tell you that HAES supports intuitive eating, and supports dieting (if the goal is be the size at which you function best), and supports eating when you're hungry, and supports eating for the sheer, sensual pleasure of the food, and supports optional, occasional fasting for spiritual purposes ... all those things.
It's the only approach that seems to make sense to me ...

Hi, I am new. I have been on this endless rollercoaster of on again, off again diets. I found IE back in 2010 and fully embraced it, got pregnant, continued to embrace it, had my baby and... crash, boom, bang! End! I started back up with the scale and there came the obsessions that lie with it.
I just read *ahem* devoured the Health at Every Size book and am currently re-reading the Intuitive Eating book. Looking forward to chatting with you all!
