I too am a butterholic - but I'm beginning to think that it's got to be better than processed margarine.

I'm a walker but I downloaded the C25K app - I've never been in a 5K (too many people for me) and I'm thinking of getting a treadmill so I can diff us it then.

I spent some time today changing my settings but I'm still not sure if I made myself "public"!! I feel like I'm jumping from page to page and having difficulty even navigating back to this post.

Welcome!

There's nothing wrong with real butter, and I believe it has a place in healthy eating patterns--far more than a chemical-filled substitute does. I love to cook, too, and even with real butter and 2% milk, I've lost over 70 pounds so far. You can have your cake and eat it, too, as long as it's in very small amounts and you account for the calories!

SparkPeople is a great place ... I would suggest that you change your Spark page public so we can visit you there, send you goodies as well as have more comradery with each other ...

I went to Best Buy and got a Fitbit one on Monday and I'm totally addicted .... I check it during the day to see my progress and every morning I check my sleep patterns .... it is one little amazing tool to have .... when you get one and sync it with your computer and SparkPeople you will be fascinated. After you get it you can get on the Spark Fitbit Team and if you have any questions there are plenty folks that can assist.

Good luck on achieving your goals .... there is a lot of motivation going on around this site.

WOW! This is pretty overwhelming initially! I've been using Myfitnesspal on iphone but I was looking for something I could interact with a bit more.....speaking of bit; I've ordered the Fitbit (Christmas Day), still waiting....anyone out there using it?
So I usually visualize myself as being fairly lean and attractive. Until I accidentally look in the mirror!
I quit smoking 37 days ago....yay.....
I've been jogging, using C25K app on iphone. I'm on week 6. It has been taking me 2 weeks to complete 1 week due to lack of motivation and discipline!
I LOVE to cook & yes, as my title reflects, I LOVE real butter and everything else high in calories!
Any advice or suggestions are always appreciated.
