Thanks Patti you are so right. Actually my goal was to lose 2lbs per week. But it sounds like that isn't the best way to go so my goal is 1.5lbs per week. Here's to a healthier 2013!

One thing I've learned from this site is be specific - that is the only way we can achieve our goals. When you say you'd like to lose as much weight as healthly as possible put in a specific number of pounds each week you'd like to lose - 1/2 lb - 1 lb (that seems to be the healthy amount the long term goal achievers seem to site). YOU CAN DO IT - a little at a time!!

Hello my name is Tammy. I am returning to SparkPeople and plan to start the year off right getting healthy. I'm not 50 quite yet (not til Feb.) but I thought I was close enough. My goal first and foremost to get healthier in 2013. I am in pretty good health considering the extra (at least) 50 lbs I need to lose. I have no set time in mind, I take that back, I'd like to lose as much weight as healthly possible by late spring, early summer. I hope to get some awesome tips from all of you. Thank you for letting me be a part of your group.
