Tracking food and fitness really help. sometimes I eat a little chips and a few cookies in addition to my regular meals, those are the times I will add on a lb or two. This healthy lifestyle is a 24/7 monitoring process. Glad you are re dedicating. I know you will do well.
Eldorado2, turns out I tracked today. a tad scary honestly. the first time I've tracked everything since the good weight loss. Well... I can totally see where I've backslid. I had a few chips, then a few cookies.. and before I know it I'm trimming my dinner to fit into today. WHAT!!! So thank you for the encouragement to track again. I was in total denial that any of this was really of my own doing. Isn't that the way! By the way I had a doctor appointment today, and got on the scale there .... well between seeing that number which is not my goal number and your post. lets just say I rededicated yesterday.. but now I'm re-re dedicated.
I really thought my eating was on track. I feel like I've plateaued. all the same I will try tracking. I'm not terrific at it. I can be. obviously I need to be. I was supposed to run 9 this week and 10 next week, so I switched it up thinking if its the plateau thing, maybe my body is saving? duno.. so I ran 10 yesterday with the plan to run 7 next week, and surprise my body with some lower mileage. maybe it will let me burn some. I duno. meanwhile I'm going to do a new ab routine tonight (-:
Hello and Welcome to the team. Congratulations on your lbs lost and good luck on the1/2 marathon. I've always wanted to do one. You can use that stability ball to sit on while on the computer, you will use your core while doing that. I use to sit on my ball for 15 or 20 minutes but I hjave stopped now. Do you use the food tracker? If not, that is a good tool to track everything that you consume. You could be taking in too many calories. Keep up the good work,
Good morning all! it is happy Saturday morning as I am looking over sparkpeople. I started off the new year wanting to loose 10 pounds. I've been 20 pounds too much since having my kids, and my baby is 8. Nothing workout wise ever stuck, until last year I started running. I'm actually a pitiful runner, I run some I walk some, I run some, I walk some. This year was going to be different. I never really lost any weight with my new found love for running/walking outside, but I had reshaped some. For the new year I really wanted to shed the pounds, and fit into my clothes and feel good in my skin. Anyway, I got rid of 10 pounds and I have majorly plateaued. I have even gained back about 2 pounds. I'm training for a half-marathon right now and I really would like to get rid of this muffin top that is plaguing me still!!!!
I am rededicating myself to re-spark and track my intake again. Clearly I'm taking in too much post workout or something. I'm also trying to focus on that muffin top. Any advice???
By the way, I look at a lot of core workouts that require that huge ball.. I'm not a fan of storing that ball. I have no basement and no attic so I have not a clue where I would store that thing.
