Welcome to the team! I am a type 2 diabetic that I have been controlling with my diet so I know what you are going through. I have to watch what I eat every day. Sometimes I don't do that well. I still need to get more vegetables into my diet. That is where I am lacking. I have been keeping my sugar under control though so that is a good thing. If I can be of any help, just give me a holler.

My name is Brittany Nicole I'm 25 and this isn't my first time on SP but it's been a while since I've been on here. I think I am finally ready to do this again and do it right and keep the weight off, so here I am lol I love to chat and make new friends so hit me up people! Welcome to Spark. This really works. I lost 30 lbs. last time I did this program. Make sure you go to message boards and community. You will find that there are so many here that will help you accomplish your goals. If you don't exercise or if you eat too much, don't fret about it. Put it behind you and start new the next day. The one thing I remember is that it took me a long time to get me to the weight I am at so it will take some time to lose that weight. An average of 1 or 2 lbs. a week is normal. Some weeks you may lose 3,4 5 or maybe none or you may even gain once in a while. If you stick to the program you will be eating healthier and losing weight. You are NOT alone. Hi Dawn, to the team! I know what it feels like to be on this journey by yourself at home. My dh and three stepkids don't have to change their eating habits. But I have been so I can reach my goal weight of 144 pounds. I don't have diabeties. But I do have a friend that is one. So I know a little bit about what you are going through. Hi! My name is Dawn. I am a 38 yr, old, 240 lb. wife, & mother of 3, a type 2 diabetic, & pretty much alone in this journey. I'm hopeing 2 meet other people who can understand what it's like 2 be doing this as the only diabetic in the family. It is not easy buying & preparing meals for people who don't have diabetes, when you do. It also isn't cheap, but I am working on it! That is my favorite thing to say. I'm working on it!
