Hi, my name is Wendy, and I am new to SparkPeople. Well actually I had a profile quite a few years ago when I was doing WW. I lost a whole lot of weight, but got laid off and gained it all back. I was following a low carb diet for about a year, and in the beginning I was seeing a lot of results, but then I hit a brick wall at Thanksgiving, and no matter the changes I made I wan't losing anymore, but slowly gaining weight. I ended up gaining about 15lbs back that I worked so hard to lose.
Currently my daughter and I are doing a workout challenge. If we work out at least 5x a week we get to put $10.00 each in a jar to do with what we want after 4 weeks. We are currently on our first 4th week, and we are going for pedicures with our first goal! We are pretty jazzed about it. I know it is awful that we are bribing ourselves with gifts to get us to workout, but it is what is working for us. Because before this challenge I brewed up, we would just talk about working out. Now we are dieting and working out Monday - Friday.
We are doing a low calorie diet, and I am doing Tae Bo and my daughter is doing 30 day Shred. I am awful at push ups and sit ups, so that is why I am not doing the 30 day shred with her. But my Tae Bo workout is a lot longer than hers, and I am totally enjoying every minute of it.
I am hoping to make a lot of new friends and be able to encourage to stay on track and reach our weight loss goals the healthy way!
