Welcome to the team! You need to remember that this is not a diet it is a life style change. It won't happen over night. You need to take it slow, baby steps. Start by making small goals, like drinking 8 glasses of water a day, then make another goal. Reward yourself for losing a certain amount of weight. For instance, when you lose 10 pounds, get yourself a manicure. This will help you to stay on track. You can do this.

Set small goals for yourself so you don't get overwhelmed. Don't ever give it Shannon. I've been in the same boat you are since forever !!! Welcome to SparkPeople. First, never give up and never give up hope. I too have been up and down the scale. Think of it as not a diet. But if you do follow one of the popular diets, I have found, that no diet will work until you win the battle between the ears. It truly is a mental game.

I'm Shannon. I've been up and down the scale so many times it's embarrassing. I've done Weight Watchers, Paleo, South Beach, Atkins, FA, OA, you name it. sugar is my downfall and I just can't see how I'm going to get around it. I'm happy to be here but not very hopeful.
